In summer you can enjoy the bright days and green grass, and in winter you can admire the white blanket of snow covering the beautiful landscape, making you feel like you’re riding through a winter wonderland. The route you’ll take will depend on the season and the weather, but can perhaps head through verdant fields or a black and white sandy beach nearby. There are plenty of beautiful landscapes surrounding the town of Thorlakshofn where you’ll start your journey. Pick-ups and drop-offs in Reykjavík are available for an extra fee; otherwise, you can meet on location – the town is on Iceland’s South Coast, a mere 45-minute drive from Reykjavík. No matter the age of your family members, this is an experience you can all enjoy together and will remember for years to come. This tour is available all year round and suitable for children of all ages; as long as they are comfortable on a horse, they can go for a ride.
